Transportation Company - Allegheny Midland - Railroad (Fictional)

Company History: The Allegheny Midland (AM) - the Midland Road - is the name of a fictional railroad company created by Tony Koester and the HO scale model railroad he built featuring this railroad. Blending elements of Nickel Plate (NKP) equipment and operation with Chesapeake & Ohio (C&O) structures and scenery, the AM would be the NKP's plausible West Virginia coal-hauler.

The Virginia & Ohio, the Allegheny Midland and the Virginia Midland later 'merged' to form the Appalachian Lines, a fictional railroad company where each of the individual railroad would keep its own visual identity.
Brief History:
The U.S. is a country of 50 states covering a vast swath of North America, with Alaska in the northwest and Hawaii extending the nation’s presence into the Pacific Ocean. Major Atlantic Coast cities are New York, a global finance and culture center, and capital Washington, DC. Midwestern metropolis Chicago is known for influential architecture and on the west coast, Los Angeles' Hollywood is famed for filmmaking.
