Mechanism:
Rolex 2230 is a calibre by Rolex. Self-winding movement, bi-directional winding, 28,800 A/h, 31 jewels. Variant of the Calibre Rolex 2235 without date. Used in the model Ladies Oyster Perpetual. Description: Self-winding movement, bi-directional winding; Breguet hairspring; Chronometer certificate (COSC); Escapement: Stone lever; Yoke winding system; Glucydur balance wheel, flat hairspring; KIF shock protection.
Family Notes: In 1926, Hans Wilsdorf introduced the Oyster watch which used a waterproof case, hence the name. He added "Perpetual" to the name when in 1933 he introduced a reliable automatic self-winding watch. Hence the name means "Waterproof, Self-Winding" in Rolex-speak and generally means the watch is water resistant to a depth of 100 meters.
