Strategy & Tactics - 213 - Patton: Master of War

Description: The Spanish Civil War Battles is a game system for simulating battles of that war. One player controls the Republican alliance of Loyalists, Anarchists, Communists and various International Brigades. The other player controls the Nationalists as well as German and Italian Fascist units. Each hex represents one mile and the ground units primarly reprisent brigades and regiments. This particular issue has two scenarios: the battles of Jarama and Brunete.
Contents:
  • The U.S. Third Army: from Normandy through Lorraine, 1944 by John D. Burtt
  • Patton: Master of War by Kevin Carson
  • Spanish Civil War Blitzkrieg? The Jarama River Campaign, February 1937 by Perry Moore
  • The Last British Cavalry Charge by John Barrat
  • (FYI) Odd British Organizations of the Desert War, 1940-43 by Michael Cunningham
  • (FYI) The Tirah Campaign: Afghanistan, 1897-98 by Alistair Pope
  • (FYI) The German Naval Base in the USSR That Almost Was by Frederic N. Smith Ph.D. and Susan Huck, Ph.D.
