On April 12, 2018 Jacksonville Terminal Company (JTC) announced that it will release a new body style: 40 foot HC (high-cube) container. High-cube containers are similar to standard containers, but taller. In contrast to standard containers, which have a maximum height of 2591 mm (8'6"), high-cube containers are 2896 mm, or 9'6", tall. High-cube containers are for the most part 40' long, but are sometimes made as 45' containers. This additional height gives the 40ft High Cube container an extra 344 cu ft of storage capacity.

These JTC containers will come in multiple door styles to match 7 different prototypes. Similar to other JTC container models, these products will feature ‘IBC’ connecting pins (used for a variety of JTC and Atlas containers) and JTC’s Magnetic connecting system and be available July 2018.
