Fore River

Company History: The Fore River was built in 1902 to link the Fore River Shipyard east of Quincy, Massachusetts to a connection with the New York New Haven & Hartford in East Braintree, 2 miles to the south. In 1987, the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority bought the railroad and the shipyard. In 1992, the railroad was leased to Quincy Bay Terminal Company
