Company History: This line began in 2009 as a Union Pacific spinoff established by the Watco family of shortlines. BVRR runs from Boise and Hillcrest west to Nampa, Caldwell and Wilder, Idaho. The Caldwell to Nampa segment is on Union Pacific trackage rights. They have 36 miles of route, not including the trackage rights. Traffic includes potatoes, lumber, and fertilizer.
Brief History:
