Specific Item Information: These little shacks were used by Weyerhauser at their McDonald-Vail camps. They had built over 90 of them. After the end of Railroad logging they were used as crossing shacks and storage shacks. With a foot print of 10 x 20 feet they will fit almost anywhere. Kit inclues 2 shacks and 4 bunk bed kits.

Road Name History: Although they may be molded in color, unpainted and unlettered, undecorated products are marketed to modelers who seek to custom decorate their models for private roads and/or road and/or company names that were not commercially produced by any of the major manufacturers.

Undecorated models are frequently also unassembled or only partially assembled and required modelers to be comfortable with glue, paint and sometimes solder in order to prepare their models for display. Materials for these models can vary but often include plastic, pewter and resin. Models may or may not come with decals or other decorations such as plastic signage, railings and ladders to enhance the appearance of the final product.

Brand/Importer Information: Based in Salem Oregon, RSLaserKits publishes books and manufactures model building and scenic supplies as well as laser-cut wooden vehicles, rolling stock and structures in N, Z, HO, S, O, TT and 1/32 scale.

They publish books under the name Timber Times which focus on the prototypes from the 19th century. They also provide photocopies of back issues of the "Timber Times" magazine.

The rolling stock product line includes kits for boxcars, flatcars, stock cars and gondolas. They produce kits for horse trailers and fencing as well as structures typically found in a pre-1900 setting. Their product line also includes building kits for structural details such as scaffolding, picnic tables and vehicle loads.
