Company History: CPR was launched in 2005 to take over operation of two separate lines in Georgia. The Madison Division is a 35 mile line linking Newborn, Machen and Madison. This was a former Central of Georgia line. CPR took over operation of this line from Squaw Creek Southern. The Valdosta Division runs 43 miles from Willacoochee to Valdosta. CPR took over operation of this line from OmniTRAX’s Georgia & Florida Railway in 2012. In 2016 a third line was added which connects Barnesville, The Rock and Thomaston, Georgia. This was a former Southern Railway route. The company was founded by Jamie Cater and Chris Parrott.
