Transportation Company - Music City Star - Railroad

Company History: The Music City Star was launched in 2006 by the Tennessee Department of Transportation to run commuter trains on a 32 mile line from Nashville east to Lebanon, Tennessee. This former Tennessee Central route now belongs to Nashville & Eastern Railroad (recently acquired by RJ Corman) who provides freight service. In addition to Nashville and Lebanon, the Music City Star serves four other stations along the route. The fleet includes three ex-Amtrak F40PH’s and seven gallery coaches. Initial ridership was below expectations so the hoped-for expansion to other routes has been shelved for the time being.
Brief History:
The U.S. is a country of 50 states covering a vast swath of North America, with Alaska in the northwest and Hawaii extending the nation’s presence into the Pacific Ocean. Major Atlantic Coast cities are New York, a global finance and culture center, and capital Washington, DC. Midwestern metropolis Chicago is known for influential architecture and on the west coast, Los Angeles' Hollywood is famed for filmmaking.
