Road Name History:
Municipal structures are buildings and other structures dedicated to services typically provided by local government and other community organizations. These will include, Fire Departments, Police Stations and Hospitals as well as other facilities.

Models of these structures may include kits as well as pre-assembled buildings. The models may be painted or undecorated.
Brand/Importer Information:
POLA was founded in 1957 by Horst Pollak providing HO and then later N scale European building kits. In the 1980's POLA was one of the first manufacturers to make buildings in G Scale and then dominated that market with its extensive line of quality heavy-duty weatherproof building kits. Faller then bought POLA in 1997. The POLA G buildings are being continued by Faller under the "POLA-G" name, while the other HO and N scale buildings will be marketed under the Faller brand name. Some of the buildings are also still sold under the Piko brand name.
Most of the kits have sold over several decades, hence can be found it at least three (3) types of different Pola packaging, reflecting their production period.

Pola structures were distributed and rebranded in North America by Atlas and Model Power, among others.
