Specific Item Information: In 1899, a Post began in Denver, Colorado. The VFW name was created on September 17, 1914 at a conference at the Schenley Hotel in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The new organization was a merger of two prior veterans organizations, both beginning in 1899: the American Veterans of Foreign Service and the National Society of the Army of the Philippines. On May 28, 1936, by an act of the United States Congress, the VFW became a government-chartered non-profit organization. We have included a set of peel and stick overlays to create a custom Post number for your VFW sign.Suitable for HO/N scales

These paper-thin light-up signs produce no heat and incorporate many new design features, including improved connectors, no painting required, longer life, and stiffer laminations. All billboards include a 3-cell AAA battery pack (batteries are not included). Current draw: 95 ma.
Road Name History:
Some items are designed to have their owner add whatever company marking they choose, usually in the form of decals or dry-transfers. These items are painted in a generic prototypical fashion but with all company affiliation deliberately left off.
These items can be lettered or numbered, but without any company name on it.
