Specific Item Information: The Trinity 6275 Boxcar has been one of ExactRail's most popular frieght cars. This boxcar has a very limited paint schemes list, but there are many 'very-close' freight cars with more varied paint schemes that we are excited to have worked with ExactRail to manufacture. These 'very-close' or brothers from other mothers freight cars are built by companies such as Johnstown America, Gunderson & National Steel Car. Some were built by Trinity but have a slightly different sized door than the 12 footer we have, or have exterior post placement variations. So, due to overwhelming demand... as well as one personal bias scheme and another that you will love or hate, we are pleased to have once again teamed up with ExactRail to present to you an exciting new run of the Trinity 6275 Boxcar in 6 paint schemes in HO & N scale exclusively from TrainLife.com.
Model Information: Designed, engineered, and tooled in the United States, these models have factory installed Micro-Trains Line stock number 1015 couplers, narrow-style, body mounted draft gear boxes, with shank wedges, striker casting and full nut and bolt detail, a finely crafted steel-nailable floor, ExactRail's own ASF 100 Ton Ride Control trucks, CNC machined 36" metal wheel-sets with steel axles, accurate lettering styles and logotypes, razor sharp printing, and true to life paint colors.
Prototype History:
Beginning in 2004, TTX Company began receiving Trinity Industries Inc. 6275 cubic capacity, plug door boxcars. With a fleet of over 600 Trinity-built cars, and over 1100 similar cars built from NSC and Gunderson, this modern car is everywhere! The Trinity 6275 Plug Door Boxcar features steel-nailable flooring.
