  • Prototype History:
The 40 foot container is the king of the container business. It is the most common standard container size used for international and domestic shipping. Most intermodal operations that handle overseas shipping are optimized for this container size. These containers are typically reinforced for loading, unloading and transportation by ship.

Dry containers are meant for non-refrigerated goods and hence are the most common type.

    Road Name History:
Since 1987, when Florens delivered its first container under long-term lease, we have steadily increased our commitment to the global shipping industry. Early on, we focused on the supply of dry and refrigerated containers on long-term leases for Asian-based accounts, particularly Cosco. In 1992, we invested in containers as part of third-party management programs. By 1995, our customer base for long-term units expanded to carriers outside of Asia.

Headquartered in Hong Kong, Florens Asset Management Company Limited leases, manages and sells containers around the world. The merger of Florens Container Holdings Limited and Dong Fang International Investment Limited in May, 2016 has enhanced the Company's market presence and overall competitiveness.
