Dimensions: 73" High x 44" Wide x 21" Deep
Notes: Rectangular Chippendale double chest of drawers in two portions. The upper portion is fitted with three long and two small drawers. It is finished with a dentelled cornice whose members are carved in acanthus leaf and egg and dart patterns with a frieze decorated with sunken carving of fretwork character in a Gothic pattern and chamfered angles. The lower portion is fitted with three long drawers. This portion is finished with a projecting rounded rim carved in a water leaf design. It also features a pull out shelf with a carved front edge and a base molding carved in a water leaf design. The dresser stands on four shaped bracket feet, the front is carved with C scrolls and acanthus leaves. The drawers are adorned with brass swinging loop handles of rococo design. This dresser is almost exactly similar to a design seen in Chippendale's Director.
