Notes: Craftsmen in Philadelphia produced very high quality colonial American furniture. This elaborate and richly carved dresser is a perfect example of the work done in Philadelphia of Chippendale Rococo style. This dresser has a heavily carved exterior and wonderful swinging handles and escutcheons. The bonnet top is adorned with elaborately carved finials. The lower portion is also carved along the knees and features ball and claw feet.
