Notes:
Pembroke Table from the Paxton House, Berwickshire by Thomas Chippendale. The table has a serpentine crossbanded top above a drawer on cabriole legs with carved palmettes on the knees and scroll feet with leather castors. The Paxton House is known to be a collaboration between the greatest architecture and cabinet maker, Robert Adam and Thomas Chippendale. The house is furnished with a range of pieces from the Chippendale Commission including this Pembroke Table.
