Description:
Banana Wars: Us Intervention in The Caribbean 1898-1935. A two-player John Poniske design of US intervention in Latin-America. Caribbean nations were invaded, occupied, and sometimes native politicians deposed. Battles with native rebels were frequent. Protecting and promoting economic concerns lay at the root of US military intervention. Businesses such as the United Fruit Company and the Standard Fruit Company sought to control the Caribbean banana, sugar and tobacco trade. Our Doughboys became their enforcers. Banana Wars is a delightful "whack-a-mole" game in which the US player stamps out insurrections while the Insurrecto player creates an unending string of crises that exhausts their resources.
