History:

In 2006, the "Monticello" design replaced the short-lived "Liberty" design for use on the Five Cent Nickel. The design was created by Jamie Franki and sculpted by Donna Weaver. The reverse design (Monticello House) is the same design as appeared on the reverse of the five cent piece from 1938 to 2003.
