Los Castillo - Doves Bracelet

Description: An elegant sterling silver hand made bracelet depicting doves by the celebrated Los Castillo in fine sterling silver dated to 1942. The dove is heavily imbued with symbolism since ancient times. Continuing until this very day the dove is a powerful symbol of freedom and of course peace. It is has other meanings being associate with love grace promise and devotion. In the 18th century the dove was depicted as St Esprit, the Holy Spirit. This is a dainty and elegant hand made bracelet which is original to the late Art Deco period. Inside the bracelet it measures 6 1/8" long so it will best fit a wrist of 5 3/4" in circumference or less. The bracelet has five hand made doves which encircle your wrist each pretty dove measuring 1 7/16" long by 7/8" wide at the widest (37mm x 22mm). In total this beautiful little bracelet weighs 21.3 grams making it comfortable to wear all the time.
