DCTX

Company History: DCTX is the Canadian arm of the PLM International, Inc. leasing company. The DCTX specializes in hauling way hazardous materials for small businesses. The DCTX has a large tank fleet, ranging from the 1960's 3-dome 42' tankers all the way through 86' Domeless Tankers Under Pressure (for Anhydrous Ammonium removal).
The 27000 series tankers are used for hauling Chloride-based hazardous wastes. The tank is not under pressure but has secondary, removable lining in case of leaks.
The DCTX was founded in the mid-1970's by PLM International, Inc., and operates 529 tank cars under the DCTX roadname with 327 being of the 27000 series of tank car.

Successor/Parent History: Professional Lease Management International ("PLM") is founded as a Lessor and manager of railcar investments. From 1972 through 1996 it raises over $1.7 billion of equity for investment in railcars, aircraft, marine containers, shipping vessels, and refrigerated trailers.
The CIT Group acquired PLM railcar services in January of 2006. In recent years, covered hoppers have been added under the CITX reporting mark.
