Company History:
The EACH began operations in 1972 serving the Shumaker Ordnance Depot in East Camden, Arkansas. The depot was being converted to an industrial park. The line extends to Eagle Mills where it connects with Union Pacific (formerly Cotton Belt.) Traffic on this line includes chemicals, lumber, paper products and synthetic rubber. In 1983, they also took over operation of a former Rock Island route between Lille, Louisiana and El Dorado, Arkansas but sold it seven years later (it became the Ouachita Railroad.) EACH later became the designated switching service provider for three Army ammunition plants in Louisiana, Iowa and Tennessee.
