Company History: Revelstoke Construction was formed in the BC town of the same name in 1905, expanding into ready-mix concrete in 1952. Two years later, Inland Cement was founded by Genstar, merging with Alberta’s Consolidated Concrete in 1969. The merged company brought together the combined forces of Inland Cement, Ocean Cement, Consolidated Concrete, Standard General, and Con-Force. In 1988, both Genstar and Revelstoke were acquired by CBR, adding Stel-Marr Concrete in 1991. The German company HeidelbergCement bought CBR in 1993, rebranding its concrete, aggregate and pipe businesses under the Inland banner in 1996. HeidelbergCement acquired Hanson Building Materials in 2007, making Inland Concrete an affiliated company of Lehigh Hanson Canada.
