Charlevoix
Company History:
This 70 mile shortline was launched in 1994 by shortline group Chemin de fer du Quebec to take over operation of Canadian National’s Murray Bay Subdivision. The line connected the city of Quebec to Clermont, in the Province of Quebec. Traffic included cement, clay, paper, peroxide, and forest products. In 2009, Chemin de fer du Quebec sold the line to a tourist operator who continues to use the Chemin de fer Charlevoix name. Freight service on the line is once again provided by Canadian National.
