Company History:
In 1902, several streetcar operations in Omaha, Nebraska were consolidated forming the Omaha & Council Bluffs Street Railway. The line bridged the Missouri River to reach Council Bluffs, Iowa. The company was later purchased by a local businessman named Gurdon Wattles who formed the Omaha Traction Company but he continued to use the Omaha & Council Bluffs Street Railway name for this operation. Streetcar service ended in 1955.
