Company History: TNW Corporation was established in 1982 as a holding company of Dallas-based Murchison Capital Partners, L.P. (MCP), and began operations at the Texas North Western Railway (TXNW) by acquiring a piece of the bankrupt Rock Island’s track from Etter, Texas, to Liberal, Kansas – approximately 120 miles. In 1992, the Texas Gonzales and Northern Railway (TXGN) became TNW’s second acquisition as a lease from the UP (Southern Pacific at that time).

Brief History: The U.S. is a country of 50 states covering a vast swath of North America, with Alaska in the northwest and Hawaii extending the nation’s presence into the Pacific Ocean. Major Atlantic Coast cities are New York, a global finance and culture center, and capital Washington, DC. Midwestern metropolis Chicago is known for influential architecture and on the west coast, Los Angeles' Hollywood is famed for filmmaking.
