Company History:
This logging line was built in 1882 to move logs from large stands of timber in Mason County, Washington to Kamilche Point at the southern end of Puget Sound. There the logs were dumped into the sound, bound into huge rafts and towed across the sound to the large sawmill at Port Blakely on the southeast coast of Bainbridge Island. Operations ended sometime in the mid to late 1920s.
