Model Information: Designed, engineered, tooled, and molded in the United States, these models have factory installed Micro-Trains Line stock number 1016 couplers, narrow-style, body mounted draft gear boxes, with shank wedges, striker casting and full nut and bolt detail, laser etched wood bulkhead panels, photo-etched stainless steel brake platforms and brass bulkhead caps, ExactRail's own ASF 100 Ton Ride Control trucks, CNC machined 36" metal wheel-sets, accurate printing, and true to life paint colors.

This is one of ExactRail's more intricate N Scale models. It has all the typical elements of a 3rd Generation N Scale model that we have come to expect from ExactRail: metal wheels, body-mount couplers and a range of finely detailed components. Unlike many of their boxcars, however, this model has a lot of detailed separate parts including ladders and end platforms. The only drawback is that the surface of the two bulkheads must be glued on by the user. Gluing these two surfaces is not hard, but it can be challenging to do so without any excess glue marks. Overall a great model, as it should be for $30.99 each.
Road Name History:
TTX Company (formerly Trailer Train until 1991) is a leading provider of railcars and related freight car management services to the North American rail industry. TTX's pool of railcars (over 220,000 cars and intermodal wells) is ideal for supporting shippers in the intermodal, automotive, paper & forest, metals, machinery, wind energy and other markets where flatcars, boxcars and gondolas are required.

Owned by North America's leading railroads, TTX's free-running pools provide fungible assets that minimize total empty miles, further lowering costs and minimizing risk for the industry, helping the railroads conserve their capital for other critical infrastructure needs. Customers easily recognize TTX's bright yellow cars as a consistent, high quality, well-maintained fleet that serves many transportation needs.
