Transportation Company - Napoleon Defiance & Western - Railroad

Company History: The NDW was launched in the last week of 2012 by the Pioneer Railcorp family of shortlines to take over operation of the 53 mile line between Liberty Center, Ohio southwest to Woodburn, Indiana from the former operator Maumee & Western. This had been part of a Wabash mainline at one time but the swampy terrain over which it traverses led their successor Norfolk & Western to downgrade the line quickly. The new owners have been putting some work into the track and roadbed. Traffic includes aggregates, chemicals, foods, lumber, particleboard, plastics and pulpwood. If you go to Youtube and search for Worst Railroad Track in America, you will find videos of this line.
Brief History:
The U.S. is a country of 50 states covering a vast swath of North America, with Alaska in the northwest and Hawaii extending the nation’s presence into the Pacific Ocean. Major Atlantic Coast cities are New York, a global finance and culture center, and capital Washington, DC. Midwestern metropolis Chicago is known for influential architecture and on the west coast, Los Angeles' Hollywood is famed for filmmaking.
