Company History: The SJT was established in 1887 to be a neutral terminal line in St. Joseph, Missouri on behalf of its owners Santa Fe and the St. Joseph & Grand Island (acquired by Union Pacific in 1897.) SJT had a one mile mainline and ten miles of yards, spurs and sidings. The company was dissolved in 1984 with the trackage split between the owners.
