Company History: Chemion Logistik GmbH is a logistics service provider founded on July 1, 2001. Based in Leverkusen, a city in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany on the eastern bank of the Rhine.
Chemion Logistics has over 100 years of experience in chemical and chemical-related logistics, first as the Central Logistics Division of the Bayer Group and later as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Currenta GmbH & Co. OHG. The logistics provider covers the entire spectrum of logistics services in the chemical industry and related sectors. As a specialist in dangerous goods and hazardous substance handling, Chemion provides equipment and infrastructure and offers, at the CHEMPARK sites, storage, handling, transportation, added-value services and training, also managing plant activities relating to production logistics.
Chemion’s customers also include companies from other sectors. They, too, benefit from the many years of experience of the 1,000 staff. The company operates branches in Leverkusen, Dormagen, Krefeld and Duisburg, with services worldwide.
Since its spin-off from the Bayer group in 2001 Chemion Logistik GmbH has provided its customers with tailored logistics solutions as a 3PL (Third-Party Logistics Provider).
