Company History:
The Central of Tennessee Railway and Navigation Company (CTRN, CTR, Centennrail) is a defunct railroad company in Tennessee, United States. Centennrail began railroad freight operations on June 19, 1992.From Wikipedia
Successor/Parent History:
The NWR was launched in 2000 as a subsidiary of the Nashville & Eastern. They operate 18 miles of line from downtown Nashville, Tennessee to Ashland City. The line is powered with a pair of GE B23-7’s. The NWR was purchased along with parent Nashville & Eastern in November, 2018 by RJ Corman who assumed operation the following January.
