Saar Rail

Company History: Saar Rail carries out transport within the factory and from factory to factory, e.g. supplying the continuous casting plants in Völklingen and transferring the semi-finished product from the steelworks to the further processing rolling mills. This also includes the transport of pig iron. Externally, Saar Rail networks rail transport with other providers and also carries out direct loading to German seaports and other selected stations. Saar Rail manages an international route to Italy in collaboration with a partner company.
