Deurag-Nerag

Company History: Deurag-Nerag was a large oil refinery in Misburg near Hanover (Hanover-Misburg since its incorporation in 1974). The double name is made up of two refinery branches that work symbiotically: Deurag stands for Deutsche Raffinerie AG, Nerag for the Neue Ölraffinerie AG, which was added later and produced aircraft engine oil. A street on the former factory site is named after the company.

The oil refinery Deurag-Nerag GmbH, which owns the former company premises, still exists today. The GmbH's shareholders are BEB Natural Gas and Petroleum (80%), Shell Natural Gas Investment Company (10%) and Esso Deutschland (10%). The technical management of Deurag-Nerag was transferred to ExxonMobil Production Germany in 2002.rt.
